Proper Poker Room Software Development – The Key to Fair Online Poker Gaming

Online poker rooms are like the actual casino poker rooms – there are tables, deck of cards, poker chips, etc. Basically, everything you see in an online poker’s total design depends solely on the poker room software it is developed with. Everything and anything that the room looks like and all the action happening depends on the software it was designed and developed for. This would include the shuffling and dealing of the cards.

The shuffling and dealing of the cards in online poker has been a question in most online gaming forums. People would ask if the game is programmed and developed for fair and honest shuffling. Some doubt this though. They would think that it’s a scam and they have been cheated. Although this happened randomly in some poker rooms, these rooms have badly developed poker room software. Some poker sites have their shuffling algorithm or Random Number Generator (RNG) programmed in a way that cards would be dealt in a predictable manner.

You might have heard of RNG in various sources of online poker gaming. RNG is a device to generate sequence of numbers or symbols that lack any pattern. Basically, RNG is used in poker room software responsible for the shuffling a deck of cards in an online poker room. With this, the software is programmed in such a way that any possible order of cards in a deck could be used at the start of your next hand.

Bottom line is, all activities of the poker room are due to the poker room software, and all poker room software are programmed and developed by online poker software developers. The fairness of the shuffling, therefore, relies on the developers of the poker room software – and not just by merely developing it, but developing it fairly and properly.

2009 WSOP November 9

Posted by Admin

The World Series of Poker Main Event is finally down to just 1 table at the 2009 WSOP. There are the players that will be playing for the bulk portion of the over $61 MILLION PRIZEPOOL. First place will be walking away with $8,546,435 and a ton of sponsorship offers I am sure (unless they are already signed). Without further adieu, I present you with your November 9:

november-nine-wsop

Seat 1: Darvin Moon – 58,930,000
Seat 2: James Akenhead – 6,800,000
Seat 3: Phil Ivey – 9,765,000
Seat 4: Kevin Schaffel – 12,390,000
Seat 5: Steven Begleiter – 29,885,000
Seat 6: Eric Buchman – 34,800,000
Seat 7: Joe Cada – 13,215,000
Seat 8: Antoine Saout – 9,500,000
Seat 9: Jeff Shulman – 19,580,000

As you can see from above, Darvin Moon has a commanding chip lead and is probably a big favourite. Though, 1 double up by a couple of his opponents and the field will be quite evened out once again. Moon qualified for the WSOP on a $130 Satellite at his local casino. He was a part-time poker player before playing in the WSOP this year, but I expect regardless of how he finishes he will be playing a lot more of this game in the future.

Jeff Shulman is the editor of CardPlayer. He said earlier this week that if he won the main event he would throw the bracelet in the garbage because the WSOP “treats his magazine unfairly”. Can somebody get this baby a diaper change.

Also, if you didn’t notice, PHIL IVEY is in that list!!! Ivey is regarded of one of the best poker players in the world and has already won 2 bracelets at this year’s WSOP. Don’t expect him to go down easy!

Other than that, most of the names on the list don’t have too much info to report. More info to follow I am sure.

Here is a list of how the payouts will go depending on how they finish:

1st – $8,546,435
2nd – $5,182,601
